How to know and find God's Will?

What a question, Foster! GOOD ONE!

1. God reveals His will through the Word (Psalms 119:105)
2. God reveals His will through prayer (Isaiah 65:24)
3. God reveals His will through other Christians (Ecclesiastes 4:12)

We will discuss this more in the weeks ahead!

foster,

paul tells us in romans 12:1-2 that we can prove what God's will is, and he gives us a step by step plan to follow: 1) give ourselves as a living sacrifice to God, 2) don't be like the world, don't follow the wrong crowd, 3) become something new, how? by the renewing of our minds, how do we do that? through bible study and prayer and time with God.

if we follow this plan, paul says we can prove (or KNOW) His perfect will.

There is a study that looks at modern day films and examines them from a Christian world view. I think this could be an interesting topic to explore at some point.

Foster,
I am a little older than you, but finding God's will can be difficult no matter at what age you are in life, however it doesn't have to be. The Bible says:

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6

I have had a hard time accepting this at times, but in the end it is the only thing to hold on to. It gives us hope and peace beyond all understanding. No matter how much we don't understand, we just have to "let go and let God"

I was reading a christian book about Gods will. And i was going to ask if it was right? There are two main goals and wills God has in mind for you. The Universal will......which is for everyone to follow God and except him into there hearts......And a personal will which is different for everyone.?

I was just seeing if this was true i mean i know alot of it is but is all of it?????

Coty, God's Will could be broken into two parts. Lets say the Universal will Is God's Plan for His People The Ten Comandments are His will for us all to live by. We are all called to spread His Word We are all called to be obedient and follow Him. Then for His personal will, that could be broken down like God's personal will for you might be for you to be a christian friend to someone you know. Michael is following God's will for him by being a youth minister Jamie a music minister and so on. See God's will for all His people is Universal and applies to all. The God's personal will for you is specfic just for you what God wants Coty to do to honor HIM.

Here you go Foster, just in case you're still checking on searching God's will...a little personal testimony. I was doing basically anything but seeking God's will for me, he reached out and grabbed hold and showed me what it was I should have been looking for. Just a personal thought, don't fret or worry about finding out what you're supposed to do, God will show you when it's time for you to see it. Everything we do has a purpose and a plan behind it...you're always being led to where you're intended to go. His will WILL be done, and you'll be included

Hey I just started a bible study......It's called "A Call to Die" by David Nasser....I just started it yesterday but I already REALLY like it...it takes 40 days to do...and to go along with it you're supposed to pick one thing that takes up alot of your time and fast from it so you can focus on God....the book itself is about spiritually dying to yourself so God can live in you (hints the title

) .....anyways I just thought I'd share in case someone was looking for a new study to do...I definitely recommend it!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah... ashley told me she was fasting for 40 days.. but i didn't know that she meant that she just had to give up something that took up alot of her time... not food.. haha... i might borrow that from you when you get done ash!
